Stainless steel is a great material for kitchen countertops, appliances and even kitchen cabinetry. It is highly durable and is relatively easy to maintain. But there are certain concerns about stainless steel which you must know before you decided to change your kitchen into a stainless steel one.
1. Scratches can be easily visible
While stainless steel modular kitchens have an excellent reputation when it comes to maintaining sterile and clean kitchens, the only concern is that stainless steel makes scratches visible very easily. It is ideal to use chopping boards for all your cutting requirements when you are using a stainless steel kitchen. But you may still end up with scratches caused by moving pots and pans from one place to another. You must also avoid scrubbers that can cause scratches on the surface when you are cleaning it.
2. They can be noisy
As beautiful as they look, stainless steel kitchens can get significantly noisy. If you have a low tolerance for noise in the house, then you may find it difficult to work in stainless steel kitchens.
3. May not suit all types of interiors
It is not suitable for interiors of all types. You may be able to pull off an industrial look or a minimalistic look with the help of stainless steel modular kitchens, but it may fail to create the warmth of wood in your kitchen space. We have heard a lot of our clients tell us that the idea of stainless steel seems somewhat cold.
4. Can cost you more than wood
Stainless steel can be expensive, especially since your kitchen would be using a grade of stainless steel that is highly durable. While certain types of wood can be very expensive, kitchen cabinetry is often made from engineered wood which can is less expensive.
